AbstractHelp

The galacto- (EC:2.7.1.6), homoserine (EC:2.7.1.39), mevalonate (EC:2.7.1.36) and phosphomevalonate (EC:2.7.4.2) kinases contain, in their N-terminal section, a conserved Gly/Ser-rich region which is probably involved in the binding of ATP [1, 2]. This group of kinases has been called 'GHMP' (from the first letter of their substrates).
