Dihydroxyacetone kinase (glycerone kinase) EC:2.7.1.29 catalyses the phosphorylation of glycerone in the presence of ATP to glycerone phosphate in the glycerol utilization pathway. This is the predicted phosphatase domain of the dihydroxyacetone kinase family.
