Names

Accepted name:
H+/K+-exchanging ATPase
Other names:
(K+ + H+)-ATPase
H,K-ATPase
H+-K+-ATPase
H+/K+-ATPase
Systematic name:
ATP phosphohydrolase (H+/K+-exchanging)

Reaction

Cofactor

Comments:

A P-type ATPase that undergoes covalent phosphorylation during the transport cycle. A gastric mucosal enzyme that catalyses the efflux of one H+ and the influx of one K+ per ATP hydrolysed.
