Current activities of the EBI SME Support Forum

In April 2004, the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) received generous 3-year funding from the UK Department of Trade and Industry Biosciences Unit to assist us in establishing a support forum for companies of small-to-medium size (SMEs). This allowed us to offer meetings and training to SMEs throughout the UK and Central Europe.

The EBI is strongly committed to support of the SME community. Our grant funding from the UK DTI has now ended. However, we are able to provide ongoing services and support to the SME community through the continuation of the Forum.

We continue to offer representatives of SMEs access to the training programmes that the EBI runs, and will also continue to hold on-site forum meetings each year. Details of which will be published on this website.
