Genomes Pages - Help
About The Pages
Genome entries have been listed in their appropriate category which may be browsed using the links on the left. While organelles are all listed in a seperate category, any from Eukaryota with chromosome entries are also listed in the Eukaryota page.
Within each page, entries are grouped and sorted at the species level with links to the taxonomy page for that species seperating each group. Within each species, entries whose source organism has been categorised further are grouped and numbered accordingly, eg

Available Data
Links are made to:
- taxonomy entries in both the white bar, and in their first entry's description
- complete EMBL flatfile in the column "Sequence". The first link is to a plain text file, the second is to a page with active links.
- CON files in the link labelled "CON". NB these are used for many of the largest entries
- lists of CON segments where an entry is a CON, these are available from the link marked eg "(254 parts)"
- Project records serve to tie together dispersed sets of nucleotide trace, sequence and annotation records from the archive that are considered to represent data collected as part of a coordinated large-scale nucleotide sequencing project.
- Proteomes pages, where available, are linked by the word "Proteome" in the "Proteins" column
- FASTA file of Proteins is available from the "FASTA" link in the "Proteins" column when no Proteomes page is available but UniProt entries have been produced from the genome
- list of Proteins is available in the "Proteins" column when no Proteomes page is available
