Creating an experiment submission

To start creating your experiment submission click the 'Create' button and select 'Experiment Submission'.

Next, Annotare will ask you to select a "submission type", followed by some preliminary questions:

Finding the correct array design for your microarray experiment

For microarray submissions, if you don't know the accession of your array design, here is how you can look it up in ArrayExpress.

Note: You must select an array design from the dropdown list so we can process your raw and processed data files properly. If you use a custom array design (e.g. a microarray you printed in your own lab) which has not been submitted to NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus or ArrayExpress before, you will need to create an array design submission in addition to your experiment submission via Annotare.

If you are not sure about whether you need to submit a new array design, or have any questions about choosing the correct array design for your experiment, please contact us at with information about the microarray platform you used, and perhaps upload an example raw data file via FTP so a curator could advise you further.
