External Services at the EBI The External Services (ES) team is involved in a wide range of
projects. These include the maintenance and development of the EMBL-EBI
web site, improving accessibility to EMBL-EBI services (including
programmatic access to more than 150 individual tools using SOAP-based
Web Services), user support through the EBI helpdesk and via the 2Can EBI Bioinformatics Support portal.Our work involves all the EMBL-EBI’s major databases, as well as analytical tools produced by groups at the EMBL-EBI and by collaborators. External Services acts as a hub for the EMBL-EBI’s activities by making the work of our service and research staff available to external users, and by providing a cohesive way in to the EMBL-EBI’s resources. The team strives to maintain high uniform standards for web publishing, resource utilisation and user support. The ES team is headed by Rodrigo Lopez. The ES website is split into 2 private sections as follows:
NB. EBI staff can access general useful information from the 'Administration-Team' (Admin-Team) website. The Admin-Team website contains EBI news announcements, bulletin boards and general EBI staff guidance. The Admin-Team website is only available to EBI staff. | |
