We do not currently have funding for more Post-doctoral members. If you have external funding or would like to apply for external funding and are interested in proposing a research project in our laboratory then please contact us for more information.

Ph.D. Studentships

We participate in the EMBL International Ph.D. Program. These positions are competitive and well-funded. Typically, Ph.D. students are enrolled at the University of Cambridge in one of the colleges. The graduate prospectus for the University is available here.

Marie Curie PhD training

The EMBL Outstation, Hinxton - the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) offers training under the Marie Curie Host Fellowship scheme of the European Commission's 6th Framework Programme. The training at the EMBL-EBI is "PhD Training in Bioinformatics" and the scheme supports stays of between 3 and 6 months at the EMBL-EBI for students studying for a PhD or equivalent. Masters Placements

The EBI provides trainee placements for postgraduate students, usually as part of a Master's degree or equivalent. The trainees join a group at the EBI to be involved in an ongoing research project. They will gain experience working in an international environment. Limited funding is provided to cover for living expenses.

Summer Students

Depending on space and time constraints we also can host undergraduate (or postgraduate) summer students wishing to undertake a short (1-3 months) project.
