EMBL - Recovering a broken submission On the first page of your submission you are given a unique identifier for your submission. It is not an accession number. If your submission is interrupted for any reason you should use this unique identifier.
Remember: The recovery mechanism should not be used for modifying sequences you have already submitted, even if they were very recent submissions. It is only for unfinished submissions. If you need to modify or update any previous submissions you should use Update existing entry. On the first page of the submission you will be asked how many sequences you wish to submit. Your submission will not be sent to the EMBL database until you have provided information for the number of sequences you have selected. If you are in the process of submitting to the database when your browser crashes you can recover your submssion by calling the recovery mechanism . You must call it from the machine you were using when you were making the original submission. You may use this recovery mechanism if your browser crashes when you are submitting either a single sequence or multiple sequences. In the case of multiple sequences you will be returned to the appropriate submission form. For example, if you had already completed two in a series of four sequence submissions, and were working on the third when your browser crashed, the first two will be restored when you use the recovery mechanism, and will be sent to the EMBL database, along with the third and fourth sequences when you complete the submission.
