General Comment
2011-03-17 A third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic, cefdinir is unaffected by some β-lactamases and consequently is effective against many organisms which are resistant to penicillins and some other cephalosporins. It shows activity against enteric gram-negative rods and is used for treatment of common bacterial infections of the ear, sinus, throat and skin.
