CC   Chicken leukemic sample 208 was shown to have an integrated avian
CC   leukosis virus similar to Rous sarcoma virus located approximately
CC   100 bp upstream of the 5' end of c-erbB homology to v-erbB.  Sample
CC   208 produces two v-erbB-related mRNAs of 7.0 and 3.6 kb as well as
CC   two LTR-containing transcripts of 8.0 and 3.1 kb.  The mRNA
CC   sequence reported here is derived from ALV proviral DNA on the 5'
CC   end and chicken c-erbB DNA on the 3' end.  Positions 1-11 are
CC   derived from the ALV U5 region, positions 309-326 are derived from
CC   the first 6 codons of the ALV gag gene, positions 327-484 are
CC   derived from the first 53 codons of the ALV env gene, and positions
CC   485-6563 are derived from the chicken c-erbB gene.  Thus the
CC   protein product is a gag-env-erbB fusion protein containing 59 of
CC   the 62 amino acids present in the signal peptide of the ALV env
CC   protein fused to the COOH terminal portion of the c-erbB protein. A
CC   poly-A signal is present at position 3292-3297.
