All tissue samples were snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen after resection and stored at -80 degrees C until use. About 150-200 mg fresh frozen tissues were used to isolate total RNA by phenol extraction (TRIzol Reagent, Invitrogen Corporation, Carlsbad, CA, USA).
