The Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe) is a partner in the Worldwide Protein Data Bank organisation (wwPDB) along with RCSB and BMRB in the US and PDBj in Japan. Dr Tom Oldfield leads the PDBe team's management of two production systems: the weekly update of deposited data and the weekly increment of newly released data. These production data systems are managed within multiple Oracle databases and support a large number of integrated web resources to collect data and disseminate information to the wider life science community.
