Systems and networking
The Systems and Networking team, Led by Petteri Jokinen, manages EMBL-EBI’s IT infrastructure, which includes compute and database servers, storage, desktop systems and networking. They also provide database administration (Oracle, MySQL, etc) and support EMBL-EBI staff in their daily computer-based activities and manage the campus Internet connection. The team works closely with all project groups, maintaining and planning their specific infrastructures.
