Protein Functional Analysis

This section provides access to tools used in the determination of protein function using various methods and databases. The most important service in this context is InterProscan which collates various methods under one easy to use interface.

CluSTr Search	Search UniProtKB (UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot+UniProtKB/TrEMBL) by accession numbers.
FingerPRINTScan	PRINTS Protein fingerprint searches.
Inquisitor	The Inquisitor provides a single query interface for identifying protein sequences from complete proteomes. Unknown sequences are analysed using FASTA and InterProScan.
InterProScan	Search protein sequences against InterPro member databases.
Phobius	This server is for prediction of transmembrane topology and signal peptides from the amino acid sequence of a protein.
PPSearch	Protein motifs searches.
Pratt	Discover patterns in unaligned proetin sequences.
Radar	Protein repeat detection.
