CC   Isoform-specific probes were used to follow the segregation of
CC   myosin heavy chain genes in an interspecific mouse backcross.  It
CC   was determined that the developmental  (embryonic/fetal, perinatal
CC   and adult) skeletal muscle myosin heavy chain genes are clustered
CC   on mouse chromosome 11 near nu and that the alpha-(V1) cardiac
CC   muscle myosin heavy chain gene is on chromosome 14 near Np-1.
