Submissions to the EBI Databases

Submission of new data and update information to the public databases is an essential prerequisite for building and maintaining complete and up-to-date data sets allowing the scientific community to perform searches and analysis on the latest nucleotide and protein sequences, protein structure coordinates and microarray data.

To submit to the database of your choice and relevance use the links listed below.

Nucleotide Sequence Submissions

Link Explanation

European Nucleotide Archive (ENA)

Submit nucleotide sequences to the databases of the ENA - EMBL-Bank, Sequence Read Archive (SRA), the Trace Archive and the project database. [Help]

Database of Genomic Variants archive (DGVa) submissions

Submit genomic structural variant study data, for any organism, to the DGVa

IMGT/HLA

Submit sequences to the Imunogenetics human major histocompatibility complex (IMGT/HLA) database. [Help]

Metagenomics The EBI Metagenomics service offers a manually-assisted submission route to the nucleotide archives, with help available to ensure data and metadata formatting comply with the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) data schema and the Genomic Standards Consortium (GSC) sample metadata guidelines respectively. Datasets submitted in this way can be analysed using the EBI metagenomics pipeline.

EGA Submissions

Link Explanation

The European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA)
Submissions

Submit any data that has been consented for use in research and sharing to appropriate researchers, but has not been consented for full, open public distribution.

PRIDE Submissions

Link Explanation

PRIDE

Pride submissions.

Protein Sequence Submissions

Link Explanation

UniProtKB via SPIN

Submit protein sequences to the UniProtKB Protein Resource database using the SPIN submission tool.

Structure Submissions

Link Explanation

PDB-AutoDep

3D structure submissions to wwPDB at the PDBe.

EMDB-EMDep

Electron microscopy data submission to EMDB at EMDB@PDBe.

Microarray Submissions

Link Explanation

ArrayExpress

Submit gene expression, ChIP-chip, comparative genomic hybridization, tiling, genotyping, resequencing and protein array data to ArrayExpress. [Help]

Biomodels Submissions

Link Explanation

BioModels

Submit biomodels to the BioModels Database. This is a data resource that allows biologists to store, search and retrieve published mathematical models of biological interests. Models present in BioModels Database are annotated and linked to relevant data resources, such as publications, databases of compounds and controlled vocabularies. [Help]

BioSamples Submissions

Link Explanation

BioSamples Database

Submit sample descriptions to the BioSamples database to pre-register samples which will be used in multiple projects e.g. 1000 Genomes samples
