Medline at the EBIMEDLINE is the NLM's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the pre-clinical sciences. MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from about 5,000 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. The files contains over 16 million citations dating back to the mid-1960's, updated daily. Coverage is world-wide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts. MEDLINE searches are available using the EBI's CiteXplore and the EB-eye search box in the header of EBI web-pages. Other means of accessing MEDLINE information include the EBIMed text-mining service, and SRS. Programmatic webservice search access is also provided by CiteXplore, as well as access to records by PubMedid by MedlineFetch and WSDbfetch. |
