Sequence Retrieval System (SRS) <<< 2/8 >>>
Introduction
SRS is a free central resource for molecular biology data. It has two functions;
functioning both as a data retrieval system with more than 140 databases incorporated into the EBI's SRS server and also as a data analysis applications server with the present server providing 11 protein applications and 6 nucleic acid applications. The system is available through a very simple to use, uniform query interface on the web ( http://srs.ebi.ac.uk ). This interface allows you to:
- perform simple and complex queries across one or several databases
- view your results in different formats
- create your own views for your results
- save results to file or to a browser
- launch applications on results
-
link results to different databases
The types of databases available through the system cover a very wide range of biological areas. These are divided up into different library categories.
