This brief introduction to molecular biology is written with the emphasis on genomics and bioinformatics. It is intended for those with an interest in science who do not have a strong biological background knowledge. We have attempted to minimise the content to provide the information necessary to make sense of bioinformatics and to show why interest in this area is rapidly growing.
